MAJORITY OF HISPANICS LIVE IN FAMILY HOUSEHOLDS
In 2010, there were 13.3 million Hispanic families living in the United States. Of those, 10.4 million reported as family households. This is about equal to reports from 2009 (10.5 million total Hispanic family households).

FOUNDATION OF FAMILY HOUSEHOLDS IS THE MARRIED COUPLE
63% of Hispanic family households consisted of a married couple in 2010. Similarly, the most common Hispanic family type in 2009 was a married couple with their own children under 18 (4.33 million out of the total 6.91 million Hispanic married couple families).

In 2009, 68.7% of Hispanic children under 18 lived with both parents. This was lower than the percentage for Asian families (85.2%) and white non-Hispanic families (78.1%), but nearly equal to that reported for the total population of children younger than 18 (69.8%).
Among grandparents living with their own grandchildren in 2009, 23.5% were Hispanic.
